Mirror, mirror on the wall....

Found this plastic mirror at a thrift store five years ago.  I thought it was cool-looking, just needing some help.

I finally got around to painting and finding it a home. 

Sometimes, completing little projects like this give me motivation to tackle bigger ones. 

Forgot to take a proper "before" picture, so this is the backside of the mirror after I had taken it apart and painted the front side.

Closer up to the yucky yellowish plastic, painted over in an equally-yucky mauve color.

The happy final results:  A rescued mirror from the 1980s. 

The mirror cost me 3 dollars.  I used black, textured spray paint that I had on hand.
